Bwindi-Kigali & Maasai Mara Safari

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali. Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Upon arrival, our tour driver / representative will pick you from Kigali Airport, meet and greet, give you briefing about the safari and head to Bwindi National Park in southern Uganda. You will arrive in the evening hours, check-in the lodge, have dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking and transfer to Bwindi National Park
Arise in the early morning, head to the park’s visitor centre which is the starting point and a briefing centre for your gorilla trekking adventure. You will be guided on how to behave while you’re tracking these primates. Find a family of mountain gorillas in lush forests of Bwindi, they will be feeding from small insects, buds of plants etc.
Spend an hour with them, take pictures, recording videos as they entertain you through playing, the way they sound when they see people. Later transfer back to the lodge to rest or take a community walk to visit Batwa pygmies who stay at the periphery of Bwindi forest.
Retreat to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 & 4: Fly from Bwindi National Pak to Masai Mara National Reserve via Entebbe international airport.
You will arise in the morning, have breakfast and check-out of the lodge and head to Kihiihi airstrip for a flight to Masai Mara, Kenya. You will transit through Entebbe airport and expect to be in Masai Mara in the afternoon. Our safari guide in Kenya will pick you up from the airstrip and proceed on a game drive in Masai Mara and later check-in to your accommodation. After late lunch, you will go for evening game drive to spot some herds of elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, cheetahs among other animals just to warm your sight and to assure you that they are available. Head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Full day game drive in Masai Mara
On this 5th day of the 6 days Bwindi from Kigali and Masai Mara safari, you will spend the entire day in the wild in search of lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, vultures, elands, wildebeests and so much more. You will as well view Masai giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, kobs, hartebeests, Topis, birds to mention but a few.
If you visit Masai Mara National reserve during the months of August to October, you will enjoy the magical wildebeest migration, traversing Mara River. This is the biggest animal migration on earth, because millions of wildebeests are seen crossing the River from Serengeti national park in Tanzania.
The great wildebeest migration attracts predators like lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals to come and make a kill. You will enjoy picnic lunch near the Mara River. Capture the migration movement and to have a clear look for the predators. Retire to the lodge in the evening after sunset, relax, have dinner overnight stay.
Day 6. Masai Cultural tour and departure
You will wake up in the morning, have sumptuous breakfast and check-out of the lodge. You will head to Talek, a town of the Masai people. Visit a local Masai village, who will welcome you, sing for you, dance and showcase all sorts of entertainment. They have craft shops where you can buy some souvenirs if you want.
Transfer to Nairobi where you will have lunch enroute. Depending on your time of flight, your driver guide will either drop you at the hotel or at the airport for flight back home or to other destinations.
