Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pick up and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
As soon as you arrive at Entebbe airport or any other agreed pick up location, your safari driver guide will welcome and take you through briefing about the safari. Your will immediately start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable National Park with a stopover at Kayabwe equator for pictures and early lunch. Visiting different craft shops and buy African souvenirs.
Drive further to Bwindi impenetrable National Park for check in at the booked lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi.
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable National Park strictly starts at 8:00am in the morning and takes 1-7 hours. After breakfast, drive directly to park offices for briefing and grouping. Remember only eight people are required to trek a given gorilla group per day.
Having a chance to get a gorilla family, you will spend one hour in presence with them learning their social behaviors and many about these great apes as you ask your ranger guide.
Drive back to the starting point to meet your safari driver guide and drive back at the lodge for lunch and relax as you prepare for next day’s drive to Nairobi.
Day 3: Drive back to Kampala and fly to Nairobi
On day 3 it will a very long day drive therefore, after having your breakfast embark on your journey back to Kampala to transfer to the next destination. It’s about 10 hours’ drive from Bwindi forest impenetrable National Park to get to Kampala therefore, you will have your lunch enroute and dinner will be enjoyed while in the city of Kampala. You’re going to relax a bit and start your journey a gain to Nairobi.
Day 4: Travel to Lake Nakuru, afternoon game drive
Wake up for breakfast on this day, then start your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. As soon as you start entering the park you will be welcomed by a number of wildlife such as olive baboons, cape buffaloes, spotted hyenas, waterbucks and more.
Continue and check in with the booked lodge for lunch then after move for the evening game drive to add on your checklist you recorded as you’re entering the park before checking in. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Depart to Masai Mara, optional activity
Day 5 of your safari will be a transfer to Masai Mara National reserve, also known as the Mara by locals. After breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Masai Mara with an estimated journey of about 4 hours and 36 minutes. Proceed with a journey to check in at the booked lodge for late lunch and relax with an optional activity in the afternoon.
Day 6: Full day game drive
Masai Mara is one the beautiful and amazing protected areas located in the southern parts of Kenya along the rift valley area. Therefore, after your delicious breakfast, drive for the great experience and spot a good number of wild animals that Masai Mara harbors.
Have an opportunity to spot animals like wildebeests, hartebeests, hippos, giraffes, zebras, etc. including different beautiful bird species and primates. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and have the last game drive in the afternoon.
Day 7: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Wake up early morning for breakfast, pack all your luggage and check out with the lodge heading to Serengeti national park. It will take you about 2 hours and 40 minutes to reach to this protected area.
Have lunch and move for an afternoon game to spot some wildlife including some bird species. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Full day in Serengeti National Park
On day 8 of your safari it will be filled with fun and amazing after having your delicious breakfast you will drive to the park offices to meet the park ranger guide who will be fully armed for security purposes and head for the interesting adventure in Serengeti National Park. Expect to spot different wildlife such as giant elephants, giraffes, schools of hippos, herds of buffalos and more.
Enjoy packed lunch in the jungle and retreat for the last game drive in the afternoon to have a chance to spot other animals you might have missed during the morning session. After your adventure drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9: Depart to Ngorongoro, crater rim experience
Arise early morning from your warm bed and have breakfast. Meet your safari driver guide and drive to Ngorongoro craters for an amazing experience. It will take you about 4 hours and 15 minutes’ drive to get to Ngorongoro crater.
You will walk around craters where you will come across most beautiful creatures. For example large mammals, beautiful flowers. Including different bird species like flamingos, swallows and many more. Retreat to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10: Game drive around the crater and retreat to Arusha
Have your delicious breakfast on this day and check out with the lodge. Move for the morning game drive around the craters. Most of the large mammals will be spotted, beautiful bird species, beautiful sceneries and more. You will have your picnic lunch enroute driving back to Arusha.
Depending on the time of your flight, opt to visit any of the craft shops to buy some souvenirs to take home for remembrance. Your driver will drop at the airport and fly back home.
