Detailed Itinerary
Day 1. Transfer from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
Our company representative will meet and pick you from the hotel or airport; get briefed about the whole trip, and then transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park. Have a beautiful drive with stopovers for scenic views of dramatic features of eastern Rift valley since Nakuru lies in great Rift Valley of East Africa.
Enjoy a picnic lunch, proceed to the park where you will be welcomed by vast herds of buffaloes, elephants, pinkish colouring of Lake Nakuru shores due to Flamingos, you will be tempted to continue with game drive before even checking-in the lodge for accommodation because of the beauty of Lake Nakuru wildlife and the mind-blowing scenic views. After you have tasted the beauty of this Park, you will retire to the lodge in the late evening as you enjoy magical sunset. Check-in the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2. Game drive and transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
You will wake up in the early morning to catch up with the nocturnal animals when they are winding up with hunting; meet hyenas, leopards, lions, bush babies going back to their dens before the break of dawn, enjoy the sweet melodies coming from the birds chirping from the tree branches, later go back to the lodge, have breakfast and then transfer to Masai Mara.
Have spectacular views of Mara reserve, with endless plains of open savannah containing herds of wildebeests, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs always giving you majestic welcome. Head to the lodge, check-in and go for evening game drive where you will spot wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, cheetahs, lions, giraffes, elephants among other wildlife. You will later go back to the lodge in the late evening, have dinner and overnight.
Day 3. Full day game drive in Masai Mara reserve
Wake up in the morning, grab a cup a tea/coffee, get your lunch packed and embark on game drive. Here you will be in search of lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, Rhinos, giraffes, cheetahs, gazelles, antelopes, impalas, olive baboons, you will also view herds of wildebeests and if you visit in the dry season (June to September), you will spot wildebeests migration crossing Mara River coming from Serengeti National Park, and as well spot predators like lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs always following the wildebeests to make a kill for the day.
Have picnic lunch at the animal viewpoints, you will see animals at the Mara River drinking water, water birds also swimming at the shorelines. Retire back to your lodge in the evening, have dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 4. Drive to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania
You will wake up in the morning, have breakfast and go for game drive to catch up with animals that you will have missed the previous day. Take the route that will lead you out of Masai Mara heading to Serengeti National Park, have lunch enroute and then continue to the open flat plains of Serengeti, check-in at your lodge in the evening, relax at the lodge, enjoy ambiance of the lodge, have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 & 6. Full day game drive in Serengeti National Park
Explore the park in these two days, where you will get lost in the jungle, enjoy animal views in their thousands and interesting sightings at Grumeti River and Seronera sector which are water catchment areas and attract a multitude of animals.
Enjoy incredible animal sightings and birds since this Park is an important bird breeding place with over 450 bird species. You will as well enjoy permanent residence of Big 5; lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants and rhinos among other wildlife. Later be retiring to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7. Transfer from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro area
Wake up in the morning, grab a cup of coffee/tea, do a morning game drive to catch up with animals when they are very active, especially the nocturnal animals when they are looking for what will sustain them during the day, you will as well find grazers that survived the predators the previous night.
Proceed to Ngorongoro area, the home of black rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, cheetahs, gazelles, antelopes, Topis, alongside birds and beautiful scenic views due to the hilly terrain of Ngorongoro Crater. Lunch will be served at the lodge and after check-in, you might decide to relax or go for a game drive in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8. Full day game drive in Ngorongoro area
Arise early morning for breakfast, get your lunch packed and get lost in the wilderness; you will be welcomed by herds of elephants browsing acacia trees, black rhinos, lions, leopards, bushbuck, common elands, Oribis, to mention but a few. Ascend to the top of Ngorongoro caldera where you will have a picnic lunch with magical views of all animals beneath, take as many pictures and videos as you can. You will descend and head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 9. Game drive and transfer to Arusha
You will wake up in the early morning, greet your intestines with delicious breakfast, go for morning game drive to get a chance to see animals that you might have missed in the previous game drive, you will have lunch in Arusha and then head to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 10. City tour and departure
You will wake up in the morning. Have a lazy breakfast and then head to Arusha city. You will be visiting local markets, interact with the local community. Visit craft shops where you will be buying some souvenirs in case you want. Have lunch in a decent restaurant. Then be dropped at the Airport or at the hotel depending on your flight time.
