Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer the hotel
Upon arrival, your professional driver guide will pick you from Jomo Kenyatta Airport and transfer you to the booked hotel. The driver guide will meet, greet and welcome you to Kenya. The guide will also brief about your safari. Spend and overnight stay at the hotel in Nairobi.
Day 2: Transfer from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
In the morning, your driver guide will pick you from the hotel and transfer you to Amboseli National Park. Arrive in lunch time hours, check-in at the hotel, have lunch and embark on evening game drive.
You will get mind blown by spectacular views of Amboseli National Park due to the snow capped Kilimanjaro Mountain, you will spot some animals like elephants, buffaloes, lions, wildebeests, zebras and a number of birds, spot these animals till sunset and be driven back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Game drive and transfer to OI Pejeta Conservancy
Wakeup in the early morning, have breakfast, check-out of the lodge and go for game drive to catch sight of animals in the morning when they are very active, be welcomed by herds of buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, all looking for survival.
Check out of the park and head to OI Pejeta Conservancy. Arrive in the afternoon, check-in the lodge, have lunch and go for evening game drive. You will spot the Big 5 which are; lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants and rhinos. You will later go back to the lodge, have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Full day game drive in OI Pejeta conservancy
On this 4th day of your safari, you will set off very early in the morning before breakfast and go to spot some wildlife especially the nocturnal animals like leopards, hyenas and lions when they are going back to the dens and they will be tempting to make a kill that will sustain them during the day, you will find grazers looking for fresh grass when the temperatures are still low, you will as well listen to birds chirping in the tree branches, go back to the lodge for breakfast and lunch relax as you wait for the evening game drive.
Visit Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place where you will find chimpanzees in Kenya, enjoy being in their midst, and head back to the lodge driving through vast herds of elephants, buffaloes in open savannah grasslands. Arrive at the lodge after sunset and have an overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer from OI Pajeta to Samburu National Park
You will wake up in the early morning for breakfast and immediately leave OI Pejeta conservancy and head to North of Kenya for stunning views of the park and its wildlife. Arrive in time for lunch, check-in at your lodge, have lunch and go for evening game drive. You will be welcomed by herds of zebras, buffaloes, elephants, buffaloes and a lot of birds. Have this slice of touch for today, go back to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Full day game drive in Samburu National Park
Wake-up early, hit the jungle before breakfast to search for nocturnal animals before they shy away from the day temperatures, meet the Big 3 mammals of the jungle and other cats. Besides the Big 5 you will encounter other rare species like Oryx, ostriches, zebras, gazelles, cheetahs and bush hogs. Enjoy picnic lunch where you will be on animal view point and be able to see most of park residents. You will retire back to the lodge in the evening, relax, have dinner and overnight.
Day 7. Samburu National Park to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, you will set off for Lake Nakuru in western Kenya. You will drive across the dramatic features and incredible views of the landscape. On this private safari you will have stopovers for photographs, like one at Thomson Falls. Arrive at the lodge in late afternoon hours, check-in at your lodge, have lunch and in the evening you will go for evening game drive.
You will be welcomed by pinkish colour of shores of Lake Nakuru which is dotted by millions of flamingos, enjoy their incredible sights, meet other animals that will be coming to drink water, spot other water birds, crocodiles and hippopotamus. Retire to the lodge after sunset for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Transfer from Lake Nakuru to Lake Bogoria
Upon waking up, have breakfast and bid farewell to Lake Nakuru as you head to Lake Bogoria. Arrive in the afternoon hours for check-in, have tasty lunch, rest shortly and head for a guided nature walk to visit the hot springs of Lake Bogoria, they are sometimes referred to as “healing place” and is one of the most active geothermal features harbouring millions of flamingos, leopards, jackals, rhinos, buffaloes, elephants, bushbucks, to mention but a few. Enjoy the stunning views, sunset and head back to the lodge where you will have dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Transfer from Lake Bogoria National Park to Lake Naivasha
In the morning, have breakfast and set off for Lake Naivasha where you will experience a boat cruise along Lake Bogoria. Enjoy the adventure as you cruise through numerous schools of hippopotamus and crocodiles, enjoy sunset as well, retire to the lodge in the evening, have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10: Leave Lake Naivasha and drive to Masai Mara National Reserve
Arise in the morning, have delicious breakfast and check-out of the lodge, cruise through herds of elephants, buffaloes, zebras, gazelles as you continue on a transfer to Masai Mara National reserve, have lunch enroute at a scenic view point, arrive in the park with magnificent views of Great East African Rift Valley.
Proceed for a majestic welcome by big herds of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, lions all in the open savannah plains. You will head to your lodge in the evening check-in, relax, have dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Full day game drive in Maasai Mara
Wake up in the morning, greet your intestines with delicious breakfast, get lost in the wilderness of Masai Mara. Meet the Big 5 clearly in open grasslands of Mara, as well other wildlife species like giraffes, gazelles, wildebeests, zebras, in their natural habitat. You will have a picnic lunch near the Mara River and while here you will have a chance of seeing endless herds of wildebeests as they migrate from Serengeti.
This is the biggest animal movement in the whole world. Great migration always pulls predators from their dens to come and make a kill, and this grants visitors a chance to see how survival for the fittest works in the jungle. Day 12. Village experience and transfer to Nairobi for departure
Enjoy early breakfast in the morning, get your luggage ready in the car and proceed to experience the incredible Masai communities that leave on the periphery of Masai Mara national reserve. They will welcome you with wider smiles, dance for you, sing, take you through their cultures and beliefs.
There are as well different craft shops owned by local Masai people which you can support by buying a souvenir in case you are interested, then later have lunch in Nairobi carnivore restaurant.
