Enjoy boat cruise, where you will be meeting flamingos, hippopotamus, crocodiles water birds, butterflies, mix and mingle with the Masai people who still keep their ancient norms and ways of living. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1. Arrival and transfer to Nairobi – capital City of Kenya
Upon arrival, our Safari driver will pick you from the Airport, greet and will brief you about the entire safari, then later transfer you to the hotel in Nairobi, have dinner and overnight.
Day 2. From Nairobi to Samburu National Park
Wakeup in the morning, have breakfast and check-out of the lodge embark on the journey to Samburu. The journey will take about 5 hours drive but with stopovers for scenic view and photography.
Arrive at the lodge at the lunch time, check-in the lodge, have lunch, relax and later go for evening game drive. Samburu National Park is a home to Africa’s Big 5 (lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and rhinos). Spot these animals till late evening, go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3. Full day game drive in Samburu
This is another interesting day for you to get closer to the wildlife; you have two sessions of game drive, i.e., morning game drive and evening game drive. Wake up in the early morning and embark on the game drive to catch up with animals when they are still very active.
Find when the nocturnal animals like lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals trying to make a kill that will take them through the day, find the when the grazers are looking for fresh grass, birds will be rehearsing for you in sweet melodies, you will enjoy this experience. Then later go back to the lodge for breakfast, relax, be admiring the ambiance of the lodge as you wait for lunch.
After lunch, get back for evening game drive with chances of meeting species that you might have missed in the morning, you will be welcomed by herds of elephants, buffaloes, leopards, bushbucks, to mention but a few. Retire to your lodge as you enjoy the sunset, arrive at the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4. Transfer to OI Pajeta Conservancy
You will wake up in the morning, grab breakfast and check-out of the lodge, transfer to OI Pajeta Conservancy to meet other herds of elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, rhinos, zebras among other wildlife. Arrive in the afternoon, check-in the lodge, relax, have lunch and in the evening at around 3pm, embark on the game drive, be welcomed by herds of white and black rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and lions which are the Africa’s Big 5.
Encounter other wildlife like giraffes, zebras, hippopotamus, crocodiles, and birds since OI Pajeta is a home to over 500 confirmed bird species. You will later be driven back to the lodge for scrumptious dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5. Full day game in OI Pajeta Conservancy
You will spend the whole day in the wild spotting wildlife; including two sessions of game drives, one in the morning and another one in the evening. Set off for morning game drive to catch up with animals especially the nocturnal when they are going back to their dens and are trying hard to make a kill that will take them through the day, and as well encounter grazers looking for fresh pastures, others trying to calm down from the predator attacks.
Later go back to the lodge for breakfast and rest as you wait for lunch. After lunch, get back to the jungle, visit Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary the only place where you can spot chimpanzees in Kenya. You will later proceed with game drive as you return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6. Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
Wake up in the early morning, have breakfast and check out of the lodge and go to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at the lodge, check-in the accommodation, have lunch and set off for evening game drive.
You will be entertained by the herds of black rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions and these are the Big 5 mammals, you will as well be overwhelmed by the beauty of pinkish colour of Lake Nakuru that is caused by high concentration of Flamingos. Enjoy the park till sunset as you head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7. Game drive and transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve
You will wake up in the morning, get your luggage loaded in the van 4×4 and set off to Masai Mara in the southern region. You will spot how animals operate in the early morning hours when they are hunting for food.
Later exit the park, have lunch en-route and proceed to Mara. You will have a stopover along the drive for scenic view of great African Rift Valley, then proceed to the endless plains of Mara National reserve. You will arrive in the evening, check-in the lodge, relax, have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8-9: Full day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve
In these 2 days, you will be able to explore the Masai Mara reserve’s wildlife and its beauty. You will spot the Big 5 which are; lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants and rhinos. Also get to see other animals like Mara giraffes, gazelles, cheetahs, antelopes, impalas, wildebeests, Hippopotamus, crocodiles among other animals.
Have lunch picnics in these two days, as you also enjoy the migration of the mighty wildebeests that happen annually as they traverse Mara River. Visit so many animal view points, record videos, take pictures and feel the Safari.
Day 10. Masai village tour and departure
Rise up in the morning, have breakfast and visit the Masai tribe, they will give a warm welcome as they sing for you, dance, they will entertain you with their ancient storytelling and beliefs, they have craft shops where you can buy a souvenir in case you are interested.
After this excursion, embark on your journey to Nairobi where you will have lunch en-route and depending on your time of flight, your safari driver will either drop you at the hotel or at the Airport.
