3-Day Maasai Mara Flying Safari – Soar Above the Savannah

Masai Mara Flying Safari: Masai Mara in one of the most visited National Parks in Kenya and in East Africa at large. It is famous for the endless plains with open grasslands, a number of wildlife such as the Big 5 of the jungle which are; lions, buffaloes, elephants, rhinos and leopards. The park is also famous for other wildlife like Masai giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, jackals to mention but a few.

The Park is known for harboring over 470 bird species which include; giant ostriches, African wood owl, grey penduline tit, ross’s turaco, lazy cisticola, purple grenadier, red throated tit, silver bird, Swahili sparrow among others. Masai Mara Flying Safari will be a remarkable one, short but with rewarding results.

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Fly from Wilson Airport to Masai Mara Reserve.

In the morning after breakfast, you will board a domestic flight from Wilson airport to the Masai land. You will soar in the skies of Kenya over the undulating plains of Mara with spectacular views of the mighty rift valley escarpments.

You will land at an airstrip and your driver will be ready to pick you up and take you to the hotel with an enroute game drive, check-in and relax at the balcony of your room overlooking the park. Later, you may decide to go for an evening game drive in expectation of lions, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests and other animals. Return to the lodge late evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full day Game drive in Masai Mara reserve.

Rise early in the morning by 6:30am to go for an exciting game drive, animals are always very active early in the morning and evening hours. You will be searching for herds of wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, gazelles, cheetahs and many other animals. Return to the lodge for a relaxed lunch, enjoy the aura of the lodge, either go on a nature walk or stay at the lodge swimming and staring at the magnificent plains of Mara.

After sumptuous lunch, you will storm the jungle once again. Expecting a number of animals along the Mara river where they gather as if they are in a meeting. You will go back to the lodge in the evening by 6:00pm for dinner, campfire and relaxation.

Day 3: Return flight to Nairobi.

Rise very early before checking out of the lodge. Depending on your flight time; you can go for an early game drive or nature walk. Enjoy Masai Mara’s wilderness with chances of spotting some animals and birds that you missed the previous day. Get back to the lodge, have breakfast and be transferred to a nearby Airstrip to fly back to Nairobi.
